The Laboratory of Soil mechanics belongs to the  Department of Civil  Engineering Educators and is equipped to perform the conventional soil mechanics tests which determine the basic physical and engineering properties of soils. The laboratory apparatus includes instrumentation for the evaluation of: Atterberg Limits, Shear strength, Unconfined and triaxial Compression Strength and, also, for performing Proctor compaction tests and Grain-size analysis. The laboratory facilities are available to final year students who wish to prepare their Graduation Thesis in the field of Soil Mechanics.
